Value Creation through Protecting Intellectual Property

The figure contains a brief description how to examinate a computer-related invention as a patent. The traditional enterprises, usually manufacturing-oriented enterprises, focused on how to reduce/save the costs during manufacturing. However, the costs saving has a limit to save. If one requires '100' to manufacture, the maximum saving does not exceed '100'. Now is time to create value, not to reduce costs (even though costs saving is an essential part of management). The value creation has no limit to reach. For the same example, one may create value '101', other '1000', other '10000', and so forth. The change of thought (or a creative/innovative viewpoint) opens boundless possibility to future.
