Research & Business Ideas: Mathematics works.

Recently, I read two outstanding books about prime number. Indeed, they are about Riemann hypothesis, because researches on the prime number ultimately converge to it. A successful commercilization of it is of the encryption. Mathematics will make a quite impact on industry. Anyway, one of the books reminds me that Fourier can also make a quite impact on music industry. So far as we know, MP3 is the most widely used format for music in this Internet era. By Fourier, any function can be represented in a combination of other functions - espeically sine curves -- Fourier transformation. Yes, if we can represent a music in a combination of various sine curve, then the total amount of the resulting file will be dramatically reduced, because the resulting file may only contain a list of parameters for sine functions in ascii. I can't image the situation after its success. Do it for yourself.
